If you missed our August meeting in Cumming, you missed an interesting story.

Sen. Williams related a firsthand account of an incident that occurred aboard a Delta flight.  At the meeting he told the names of all the individuals involved, but for the purpose of this retelling I will just provide the facts.  Suffice it to say that the people who witnessed this event have credibility.

This particular flight out of Atlanta was delayed taking off.  The passengers were told, by the crew members, that they were waiting on a Co-Pilot from a connecting flight.  It turns out that was not the case.

What really happened is that one passenger was wearing a “Make America Great Again” baseball cap.  This so offended a stewardess that she declared it to be an act of Micro-Aggression.  Realize that the hat didn’t even say “Donald Trump” – it just had his slogan.

Because of her concern they had to have a meeting up at the front of the plane and vote on whether the hat was going to be considered offensive and if they were going to ask the passenger to remove it.  The complaining stewardess was the only person who voted to force removal of the hat.

One would think that would be the end of the story.  One would be wrong.  The stewardess insisted on getting the pilot involved, which they did.  At the end of the ordeal, the hat and the stewardess both stayed on the plane and had to learn to just get along.  But everyone on the plane was delayed by about 30 minutes.

The moral of the story?  If you are a Trump supporter, wear you hat everywhere you go.  People need to learn to just get over it, and it is not illegal.  Not yet, anyway.
