Who is the Grinch that Stole State Sovereignty?
This presentation, given by Tea Party leader Mike Scupin, discusses the all important issue of State Sovereignty.
With the federal government grabbing all the power it can, the States need to understand their rights under the Constitution. This talk will center around questions like:
- From where did the concept of sovereignty originate?
- What is the origin of the concept of “We the People?”
- Do people have sovereignty or is it just a government that has sovereignty?
- What exactly did our Founders mean by “We the People?”
- Does “We the People” mean only that we have a vote in elections?
- Is the concept of Jury nullification a legitimate idea?
- Is there a higher authority than the U.S. Constitution?
Mike will be joined by Rich Carithers, Chairman of the Gwinnett Republican Party. A very full evening with two great speakers!
Coincidence? I have a group of people from the FreeRepublic web site meeting at the Suwanee Public Library at 6:30 tomorrow. Until now, I thought the Tea Party just folded its tent and stole softly into the night.
We must merge out activities. Tomorrow’s meeting is our first, but maybe we’ll knock off early and get over to your meeting.
Send somebody over to our meeting to rabble rouse.
Mark
Sounds very interesting… We always meet in Suwanee on the last Tuesday of the month. In Lawrenceville on the first Thursday and in Cumming on the second Monday. Just to make it confusing…
